We look forward to welcoming you to our Bed and Breakfast in Cormack, Newfoundland. Please take a moment to read the following important policies regarding your reservation with us.
B&B Reservation Terms and Conditions
Upper Humber Settlement observes the following terms and conditions for the reservation of accommodation and services. These conditions are binding for both parties from the moment the guest makes a reservation either online or via telephone/email.
Reservations

Check-in: 3:00 PM | Check-out: 11:00 AM

Early or late check-ins can be accommodated with prior notice. Self check-in and check-out instructions will be provided upon booking.

Room Rates are per night based on double occupancy. A 15% Sales Tax will be added to the room rate.

Extended stays and corporate discounts may be available based on dates of stay. Please contact us directly at (709) 215-4166.
Cancellation Policy

Individual Bookings:

If canceled or modified up to 7 days before arrival, no fee will be charged.

If canceled or modified within 7 days or in case of a no-show, 100% of the first night will be charged.

Credit card and Interac processing fees are non-refundable. (View Square Fees)

Group Bookings (3 or more rooms):

If canceled 30 days or more before arrival, no fee will be charged.

If canceled or modified between 30 and 7 days before arrival, 25% of the total booking cost will be charged.

If canceled within 7 days of arrival, 100% of the total booking cost will be charged.

We will make every effort to rebook rooms to provide a full or partial refund.

Due to our limited number of rooms, cancellations significantly impact us. We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise and will do our best to accommodate changes where possible.
Smoking Policy
Upper Humber Settlement is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas:

Near the parking area or on the private balcony of the King Suite (ashtrays provided).

Smoking is not permitted on any other porches or inside guestrooms. A $100 charge applies for smoking inside rooms.
Visitor Policy

Guestrooms are for registered guests only.

Visitors are welcome in common areas and gardens with prior approval from the operators.

Rooms accommodate up to 2 people unless otherwise stated.
Pet Policy

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at Upper Humber Settlement.

We have a friendly Labrador Retriever, Benelli, who resides in the owners’ quarters and garden space.

Service dogs are permitted; please inform us in advance if you will be bringing a service animal.
Accessibility

Three guestrooms are located on the main floor, but stairs are required to enter the Bed and Breakfast.

The King Suite is in the loft and is only accessible via a large staircase.
-
We regret that we do not have accessibility features at this time but can assist in finding suitable accommodations in the area.
Damage Policy

Guests are responsible for any excessive damage to the property or its contents.

A $100 charge applies for smoking inside guestrooms.

Additional charges may be applied for damages, with notice provided before any charges are made to the credit card on file.
Experience Terms & Conditions
Upper Humber Settlement offers a range of culinary and cultural experiences. The following terms apply to all bookings:

Experiences can be booked online, via phone, or email.

Most experiences require 24-48 hours' notice. Please book in advance.

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.
